Pineapple and Jute Blends
Waste from pineapple farmers, previously a burden to discard, is shredded, spun and dyed to create a sturdy, sustainably produced fabric with a positive environmental and social impact. Any waste from the spinning process is collected and made into paper, making this a zero waste production.
Waste ends and fabrics are collected from local garments factories, shredded and brought back to life into new thread and fabric. This thread is not re dyed or chemically processed making it a unique but also environmentally responsible material.
These silks are made in the northern regions of Bangladesh, an area historically known for the fine nature of the silk fabric.
